The members of the foundation have been active in these areas from January 2011.
The front line of Crowns and Roots is formed by a team of dentists with specialized qualification who are well recognized for their academic contribution to various teaching institutes. A team of reputed specialist doctors constitute the second line of defense, in order to create the essential synergy between dentistry and holistic healthcare.
Healthcare sector continues to employ a large number of unskilled people, mainly due to non-availability of trained personnel across the country. These people have to assume responsibility for care delivery to patients; but their lack of formal training poses a risk to patients and wastes resources, pushing up the cost of care. This also leads to a cumulative pool of people, mostly from marginalised sections in rural and semi-urban areas, working under unsatisfactory job conditions and unstable career prospects.
